My Story

Hi, I'm Kim, a children's book author based in Prince William County, Virginia, with a passion for stories that make children laugh, feel understood, and know that big feelings are okay.

I write with heart, creating stories that celebrate friendship, belonging, self-acceptance, and forgiveness. Each picture book stands on its own, though some are set in a cozy woodland community, where a different character takes center stage. Others take place in worlds all their own. I also write board books and early chapter books.

When I'm not writing, you can find me buried in picture books, obsessing over the art, the words, and finding the emotional truth hiding inside every story. I also love reading novels for adults, especially stories with unforgettable characters and that leave a lasting emotional impact. Beau, Sushi, and Cornflake.
